Privacy Policy
Border Builder does not collect, store, or share your personal data, and has no accounts or servers of its own. The only time any data leaves your device is the optional location lookup described below, and that goes to Apple's geocoding service, never to us.
What Border Builder does not do
- No accounts, no sign-in.
- No analytics or tracking.
- No advertising or third-party SDKs.
- No network requests to our servers (we do not operate any).
- We receive no data from your device, ever.
What Border Builder does do
- The plans you create are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. They are accessible only to you.
- Location (optional). If you tap "Use my location" to find your hardiness zone, iOS sends your location to Apple's geocoding service to convert it into a local area. That request goes to Apple and is governed by Apple's privacy policy; Border Builder never receives, stores, or transmits it. You can skip it and enter your zone by hand instead.
- Apple's App Store and TestFlight may collect crash reports and aggregate usage statistics independently of Border Builder. Apple's practices are governed by their own privacy policy.
Children's privacy
Border Builder is rated 4+ and contains no objectionable content. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and note material changes in the app's release notes.
